With the warmer weather we’ve been experiencing again today, it is important for everyone to keep cool and hydrated. If it is possible to safely practice energy conservation efforts, please do so. For example, not running large appliances until we have cooler temperatures, and adjusting the thermostat by a degree or two are simple ways to conserve.
The Southwest Power Pool, Spencer Municipal Utilities regional transmission operator is declaring Conservative Operations beginning at Noon today, July 29th. They are not expecting public conservation or outages at this time, however we can do what we can to help out.
