SMU’s customers are urged to attend the upcoming Community Energy and Resource Fair on Friday, April 29th from 5pm to 9pm and Saturday, April 30th from 10am to 6pm.  The event will be held at Clay County Regional Events Center, 800 West 18th Street in Spencer.

Spencer Municipal Utilities is offering this two-day event to offer customers a variety of information on how to save energy and water in their home as well as saving money. With informational seminars scheduled throughout the event as well as information from local vendors on implementing improvements within the home, customers are sure to become better informed.

Some of the informational session topics include: Climate Change-What Will It Mean for Iowa?, Cool Congregations, Ductless Heat Pumps, Build It Right: Energy Efficiency for New Home Construction; Remodel It Right: Energy Efficiency Improvements for Existing Homes, and Renewable Energy Options For Your Home or Small Business.

The SMU Community Energy and Resource Fair is absolutely free to all SMU customers.
